The Broadcast Television Journalists Association recognized Community with the prize for Best Comedy Series during its second annual Critics' Choice Awards ceremony on June 17th. It beat out The Big Bang Theory, Girls, Modern Family, New Girl, and Parks and Recreation.
Going into the event, the show was nominated six times:
- Joel McHale - Best Actor In a Comedy Series
- Danny Pudi - Best Supporting Actor In a Comedy Series
- Jim Rash - Best Supporting Actor In a Comedy Serie
- Alison Brie - Best Supporting Actress In a Comedy
- Gillian Jacobs - Best Supporting Actress In a Comedy
- Community - Best Comdey Series
