Community Third Season DVD Set Announced


Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced August 14th as the sale date for the Community - The Complete Third Season DVD box set.

All 22 episodes of the show will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen with sound in 5.1 Dolby Digital. Bonus features will include:

Six Seasons And A Movie Art Show A Success


After raising enough money on Kickstarter, PixelDrip Gallery was able to host the 'Six Season and a Movie Art Show' on June 23rd and 24th at Monk Space in Los Angeles.  With over over 130 participants from around the world, the show was met with much success.  In attendance were:

If you missed the event, the show will continue on at The Hive Gallery in downtown Los Angeles in July and August. It will be holding its Opening Reception on July 7th from 8PM to 12:30AM.  Cover charge is $8 for that day, and there will also be a limited number of prints available.  There will be free admission at any other time of the month.  The artwork will be on display until July 28th after which the show will be on a rotating schedule in August.  To close out the summer, there will be one final showing in September.

Play 'Journey To The Center Of Hawkthorne' Now


As if the 'Journey To The Center of Hawkthorne' game featured in the 'Digital Estate Planning' episode of Community wasn't awesome enough to just to watch, now you can play the game as it is being developed by fans.

A group of over 100 contributors have been working on recreating a playable version of the game.  Even though it's still in the early stages of development, there is plenty to love with this very accurate and continually-updated project.

OS X, Windows (with separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions), and Linux are supported.  Check everything out here:

Community Wins BTJA's 2012 Best Comedy Series

 
The Broadcast Television Journalists Association recognized Community with the prize for Best Comedy Series during its second annual Critics' Choice Awards ceremony on June 17th.  It beat out The Big Bang Theory, Girls, Modern Family, New Girl, and Parks and Recreation.

Going into the event, the show was nominated six times:

  • Joel McHale - Best Actor In a Comedy Series
  • Danny Pudi - Best Supporting Actor In a Comedy Series
  • Jim Rash - Best Supporting Actor In a Comedy Serie
  • Alison Brie - Best Supporting Actress In a Comedy
  • Gillian Jacobs - Best Supporting Actress In a Comedy
  • Community - Best Comdey Series

Congratulations to the cast and crew for picking up yet another award that's streets ahead!
